Under Obama's new health care legislation, does the employer have to pay for health care?

Does the employer have to pay 100% of the health care premium for his/her employee? Or, do they have to pay a percent -- like 50%? Or, do they just have to offer a group policy under the auspices of the company with the employee having to pay for themselves? How about dependents? Is the employer expected to pay for dependents?Under Obama's new health care legislation, does the employer have to pay for health care? No. The health care act has no impact on companies providing insurance. Well, that's not true, since the government is going to be providing health care for people more businesses will chose to drop health care and pay the fine which is substantially less than the cost of a group policy.

My premiums went up 18% this year. The letter from my company and insurance provider clearly stated that the fact that now there are no caps, insuring "children" until 26 and being forced to accept pre-existing conditions were driving the cost of operations up and they weren't just going to lose money. I completely understand and agree. I buy insurance as a hedge against the unknown. I'm very healthy and didn't use my insurance last year at all. But I buy it because one never knows. Its a choice, not a right and damn sure isn't the responsibility of the government.Under Obama's new health care legislation, does the employer have to pay for health care?It depends on several factors, including the number of employees the employer has. Your question is far too complicated to answer here.Under Obama's new health care legislation, does the employer have to pay for health care?An employer can offer an employee health insurance, however, it is also up to the employer as to how much they will cover and Obama has NOTHING to do with this 'employer' decision.Under Obama's new health care legislation, does the employer have to pay for health care?
