Is the one world government trying to take our dogs away so when it comes time they can take us to the gas chambers without warning by our faithful friends. What are your thoughts?
Norway, China, and the U.S. is following suit what is going on?Anti-dog breed legislation all over the world what is going on?Such legislation is the result of a combination of narrow mindedness, prejudice, lack of communication/education and stupidity. Certain breeds such as Pitbull/Staffordshire terriers, Doberman, Rottweiler, and German Shepard dogs have the image of being mean and super aggressive. Their body structure is very muscular, their posture is intimidating and the publicity they get is all very biased. People promote the big, strong, intimidating look in movies, TV, etc.
It is a sad cycle in which society is caught up in. Any dog can be aggressive. Bad breeding, improper training/socialization and bad environment are all things that can lead to aggressiveness. Any animal, especially dogs need socialization with people and other animals to behave well around them. Breed legislation prevents that, so we see Pitbulls who aren't aloud to be socialized to dog parks or allowed around other dogs, then people are surprised when they react badly. So more legislation is put into place.
As a breed Pitbulls and such were bred as guard dogs and fighters. Aggressiveness is behavioral but genetics can play a large part too. Too many people encourage aggressive displays because they like having people be intimidated by their dog, they like having that "tough" image, at the dogs expense. Often times animals, of any species are provoked for fun and amusement. Most healthy animals do not attack, unless provoked. Even cobras and rattle snakes will rather slink away from confrontation than strike and they are seen as very dangerous snakes.
I have worked in Veterinary clinics and a shelter for 7 years. I've worked with and owned Pitbulls, Rottweilers, Dobermanns and other similar breeds for years. I rarely encounter Pitbulls that were mean, except two that were severely abused and trained for fighting. In the Veterinary clinic I get growled at, snapped at and have been bitten by more Yorkshire Terriers, Pomeranians, Shih Tzu, Labradors and American Eskimos than any of the "aggressive breed" dog. Yet these dogs are America's favorite breeds. Labradors are seen as loving family pets, but they can be just as distrusting and have the same behavior problems as Pitbulls. It just isn't publicized and you don't see Labradors being trained to fight.
It is all in the training and breeding, but instead of taking the time to eliminate bad breeders, taking the time to train dogs and give them proper socialization, the society and the government is opting to take the easy way out and just label certain dogs as illegal. It is in the eye of the beholder. If the people in my Vet clinic had any say in breed regulation, we would choose to never work with Min Pins, Bichons, Pomeranian, Yorkies or any of those breeds because they are so difficult to work with and are such biters. I'd take a Pitbull over a Bichon any day.
Instead of attacking the animals, steps should be taken to educate the public about dog behavior, how to avoid aggressiveness in pets and eliminate people who breed dogs for illegal and aggressive purposes. Pitbulls, Rottweilers and Dobermans are good breeds, just misunderstood and way too often mishandled.Anti-dog breed legislation all over the world what is going on?
As a dog lover, I think it's a shame, really. :(Anti-dog breed legislation all over the world what is going on?I really wish that you would cite some sources, or at least reference to a recent event.
I'm very lost by this question, yet interested and have no resource for where to look for more.
http://www.skylocke.com/pdf_txt/PETA%20a鈥?/a>Anti-dog breed legislation all over the world what is going on?I think we have a serious over population problem and if people were more responsible in having their pets neutered or spayed, the government wouldn't have to step in at all.Anti-dog breed legislation all over the world what is going on?
could you post a web site stating more on this I know very little about it
I know in China last year they started putting in place 1-dog policies... Didn't know they were doing it elsewhere. Gov't seem to see us as sheep and think we're to be controlled.Anti-dog breed legislation all over the world what is going on?
Yeah, pit bulls are oh so cute and loyal until they rip your face off. Just once I would like to hear the owner of a dog involved in an attack say, "yeah I knew he was very vicious" rather than "oh I'm so surprised, he was so gentle before". Actually I think if someone wants a dangerous animal it's OK if they have the proper facilities. However I would apply the same standards to a pit pull that I would to a tiger.
I don't like to be told how to take care of my dogs.I definitely don't like somebody telling me what type of dog I can have and can not have. In Ontario Canada in the county where I live there is a 3 dog maximum law.If you own more than 3 dogs you must get a kennel license. That law doesn't bother to much because since they passed it I get less unwanted dogs dropped off here. But as for a total ban on dogs and dog breeds that is just pure hog wash.Down with PETA.
The people of the world do not want dogs used as weapons. People are pushing this to their leaders. There should not be maulings. I believe in breed bans. Unless someone has a reason to have a guard dog-- a valid reason-- they don't need one. They should be banned from private ownership. There is no reason for children to die at the hands of dogs in the numbers that it has happened. It's just wrong.
I have no problem with trainers, police, military, even farmers or business owners using guard dogs, but they just don't belong in the general public. They are not pets.
As you can tell from my name i am a GREAT PBT LOVER always have and always will be BUT i have never owned one becuase im from England and Any dog that is a pitbull will kill you at night. I also have a Siberian husky which is in the list also , WHY sibes are VERY friendly dogs and always have been that way for thousands of years.
BSL needs to stop , it doesn't help when idiots like PETA try to tell people that BSL is good but think about it bad irresponsible dog owners that use there dogs for fighting etc which is against the law are they really going to had there dogs over. No they are not. BSL targets the well socialized dogs that have so much love for there family but becuase they are a particular breed they must be destroyed.
YOU WOULDN'T ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN TO A CERTAIN RACE WHY LET IT HAPPEN TO DOGS.
That why i plan on moving to a country who treats dogs how they would want them self treated.
The owners of badly behaved dogs of any breed need to be punished not the dogs who were led astray.
EDIT* most children mauled by dogs where left alone with the dogs , AND ANY GOOD DOG OWNER KNOWS THAT YOU SHOULD NEVER ,LEAVE A DOG ALONE WITH A CHILD.
(My keyboard can't keep up with me so sorry for any spelling mistakes , )
Ah, but the governments are only being "led by the nose", by the animal rightists, such as PeTA and the H$U$ (the Humane Society of the U.S.)...And until we are willing to stand up and use our voices to dispell their lies and expose them for what they are, then say "bye bye" to your rights as a pet owner.
This is part of an article I've written pertaining to the subject. To read it in it's entirety, click the link in the source box.
Excerpt from my article, "We're Mad As H*** And We're NOT Gonna Take It Anymore"........"Mandatory spay/neuter (MSN) laws (laws designed to end "pet overpopulation" by forcing law abiding dog owners to castrate their animals or be a criminal) are being proposed and passed faster than we can keep up with. Sad. Considering that we, the breeders, owners, exhibitors, and pet owners, outnumber the Animal Rights (AR) fanatics proposing such laws. We all have a voice, a mind...a thinking, reasoning brain! Why is it increasingly so easy for "them" (the Animal Rightists) to have their lies and propaganda swallowed and accepted as the "gospel"? Have we, the American voters, put into office, people so dense that they can't see a constitutional violation when it smacks 'em upside their heads? Is the American public that gullible as well, that we are willing to let our rights to own property be taken away? Sad. "....
