At the State and Local Political Level would you support legislation to require voter approval before?

any State legislature, county commission or city council increase their pay, retirement benefits or health benefits without first having the voters approve? In my opinion when they do this they are committing tax payer dollars for their benefit and therefore it should be approved by the taxpayers (voters). The Government workers and officials have the very best benefits, retirements and salaries much better than non-Government workers. These benefits are projected to be at a 3 trillion dollar unfunded level by 2015 and will require another federal bailout.

Will you email your State Representative and insist on taxpayer control of Government cost?At the State and Local Political Level would you support legislation to require voter approval before? The voter should have the last say, it's their money. At the State and Local Political Level would you support legislation to require voter approval before?I think all pay issues for elected officials at any level should be left to the taxpayers. We are the employers and they are our employees, and we should set the pay scale. If they want better or more pay, then they need to confince the taxpayers that they are doing a good job and worth the increases. At the State and Local Political Level would you support legislation to require voter approval before?i work in local government and our benefits suck. you would be surprised how bad they are on the local level. and our salaries are lower than the private sector.

you need to do more homework before spouting off.

edit - i enjoy getting thumbs down for telling the truth. some people just can't deal with reality. At the State and Local Political Level would you support legislation to require voter approval before?
direct democracy does not work when you have a population of more than 320 million.
