~Dr. B.~What legislation is relevent to Community Mental Health working?It would help if you told us if you're focusing on a specific geographical area. There are all kinds of laws that can impact people with mental health issues. Some are federal, while others are set out by the province/state. There are privacy laws, laws that govern the helping professions (like social work, physicians,etc.), as well as laws about when people can and cannot make decisions about their own health care due to their mental health status.
