Will the Proposed Hates Crimes Legislation Actually Restrict Free Speech?

That is, simple free speech that has no hate in it, IMO. For example, will it be illegal to say you feel that homosexuality is immoral? That it's distasteful or reprehensible to you? Would this become a hate speech/crime rather than free speech of personal opinion?

Many religious folks are in an uproar saying it would ban the Bible/Christianity in effect, for the Bible condemns homosexuality in several passages, etc. And thus, couldn't preech it anymore, etc...

I've read some of the proposed legislation and I don't glean all that, but perhaps there are parts kept hidden from us, at this point.

Who feels knowledgeable / qualified to enlighten me/us?

Thanx...Will the Proposed Hates Crimes Legislation Actually Restrict Free Speech?nice pic by the way.

it will restrict free speech because if you can't say what you believe without fear of arrest or jail, that's no freedom of speech, it's pretty clear.

it's already happening in canaDUH and other PC places. unpopular speech is now deemed "hate" speech by the commie fascisti.

michael savage said let hunger strikers starve to death and the commies want him removed from the radio? they want a CITY to condemn his speech as "hate" speech?

no worries, all of this will lead to the next big R which i personally look forward to.

to the putz below me: really? so porno on every street corner and every public library isn't profanity? that's not what the ACLU and other lefties say!!! more hypocrisy as if i'm surprised!!!

so i guess we can arrest all comedians/ens who use profanity because that's not protected speech? so only what YOU Deem as free speech is free speech right benito? Will the Proposed Hates Crimes Legislation Actually Restrict Free Speech?I have done a little reading on this subject and if it gets enacted, it will make talking against homosexuality a crime. So, therefore, priests and such could not say that being gay was wrong or it would be hate speech. Will the Proposed Hates Crimes Legislation Actually Restrict Free Speech?Free speech has never protected words of hate or profanity. Will the Proposed Hates Crimes Legislation Actually Restrict Free Speech?
what Bill are you speaking of?

btw, the Bible says lots of things that we choose to ignore
