Why aren't Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac included in the financial reform legislation?
They caused the housing and credit crisis. They are the only financial institutions that have not paid back the money that was loaned to them.Why aren't Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac included in the financial reform legislation?Because it just might send the Americans over the edge if they knew what bad financial shape this country was really in.Why aren't Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac included in the financial reform legislation?Fannie is used to loan money to those who financial institutions which originate mortgage loans and Freddie is used to pool mortgages together to make mortgage backed securities (MBS). If you fix the problems at the loan origination process, there shouldn't be a problem after that.
