All the liberal news people like Couric, Lauer, Williams, etc. would be vilifying them instead of heaping praise like they are now.
It would depend on the issue and the legislation. Republicans never propose anything in the interests of ordinary people. They are always anti ordinary Americans and workers. Democrats propose legislation for the people. Republicans might run away from that and be justly criticized.
The shrillness of the rhetoric would be impossible to comprehend at this point.
