What is breed specific legislation?
I've just recently heard about this but what EXACTLY is it? I've heard that people are having their dogs confiscated and euthanized for no specific reason other than their breed. Anyone got any info? What is breed specific legislation? It is exactly what it states, legislation passed to ban or deny ownership of specific breeds, i.e. American Pit Bull's. Which is a shame, we own a APB and she is the most loving, sweet natured, chilren oriented animal I've ever owned. They ought to make legislation to euthenize the owners of any dog that is bred and raised to fight or be aggressive. Unfortunatly, the dogs pay the price for their owner's inbreeding and lack of common sense! What is breed specific legislation?I'm not too sure on it, but I know that it was a legislation that was passed by congress that deemed certain dogs dangerous based on their breed alone. What is breed specific legislation? Some towns make laws against owning specific breeds like pittbulls. In most instances even with breed-specific legislation, a dog won't be confiscated and/or euthanized unless it gets loose and hurts someone.
