Why do you support this proposed legislation that exclude others who are 18 years and not in service?

about 18 year old drinking age in the US. Military. Why do you support this proposed legislation that exclude others who are 18 years and not in service?I think the theory is that if they are willing to put their lives on the line, they should be treated as adults. It seems fair to me. They might die fighting and deserves something. All you have to worry about is getting hit by a bus.Why do you support this proposed legislation that exclude others who are 18 years and not in service?I'm unaware of the legislation, could you please post a source?

That being said, I have long been a supporter of this (but only on military bases, and only beer and wine). As a retired military member, I think it's a problem to say someone is responsible enough to be given a lethal weapon and asked to kill and/or die for their country, but not responsible enough to have a beer first!

As for leaving other 18 year olds out, those in the military are tested and trained and should be responsible enough to handle this in a closed environment (like the base)Why do you support this proposed legislation that exclude others who are 18 years and not in service?Because if someone can go and fight/die for this country they sure as hell better be able to have a drink legally. If you want to be able to drink at 18 and the law passes just enlist. Why do you support this proposed legislation that exclude others who are 18 years and not in service?
In the army you are supervised and taken care of.Your training and the disciplines you are taught remain in strict focus while being active. A soldier acts with the group . It is not as though each soldier can do his own thing and act as he chooses to.
