They promise the world, why not deliver something first, then I could pick one to support! Why don't the candidates propose these great promises as active legislation instead of just campaign retoric?Obama and Hillary both have good legislative history backing up their promises. Both have challenged the health care industry, opposed republican corporate interests, and have supported bills which support our troops.
However, Hillary voted for the war and has recently received a large sum of money supporting her campaign, which came from the health Industry, which makes me worried. Its because of this that I support Obama over her.
McCain has a habit of creating a name for himself that really does not fit. He claims to be the "Maverick" of the republican party, but so much of what he has done in recent years is just playing the president's lap dog. If he lived up to his claims, I would not be so concerned about who won the elections this year. Why don't the candidates propose these great promises as active legislation instead of just campaign retoric?
Everyone talks about Obama's record; however, he has done just that. He has proposed bills on health care, immigration, ethics reform, you name it.
The only reason his bills don't get very far is because the corrupt won't vote for it without giving them some pork and Obama won't do that. Why don't the candidates propose these great promises as active legislation instead of just campaign retoric? If you support obama, you don't need evidence. The media will tell you what to think. His campaign slogan should be..."Badges???? We don't have to show you no stinkin' badges".
since when do candidates ever live up to election promises? Why don't the candidates propose these great promises as active legislation instead of just campaign retoric?well...i actually agree...as in why give empty promises??
they should think before they promise us anything..Why don't the candidates propose these great promises as active legislation instead of just campaign retoric?
Because it is a waste of time to write any legislation. Bush will veto it.
That's bull and you know it. McCain will carry on this unjust war just to save face for the Rep's.Why don't the candidates propose these great promises as active legislation instead of just campaign retoric?
Then it wouldn't be a real US election!! Come on....
lol
