Why did small states during the early Republic wanted a unicameral legislation vs a bicameral legislation?
Wasn't it because all states regardless of size, would have equal clout? Unicameral means one body (the Senate) based on 2 votes per state. Bicameral implies a second body, the House of Representatives, - membership based on population, which would obviously give larger states more power over smaller states. Why did small states during the early Republic wanted a unicameral legislation vs a bicameral legislation? What handyman said.
