With new legislation in effect will I be able to go back on my parents health insurance? I was dropped at 22yo?

I am still under 26 however and I know the new law allows people under 26 to be covered by their parents insurance. So in other words can I get my health insurance reinstated? With new legislation in effect will I be able to go back on my parents health insurance? I was dropped at 22yo?The requirements:

- under 26 which you are

- single

- not eligible for insurance through your own employer

- parents must allow you to be on insurance (you can't force them to let you on)

- don't need to be a student or live with your parents

Since you weren't on the insurance on Sept 23, the company does need to allow you on the insurance until the 1st open enrollment period after Sept 23. This is usually Jan 1st but could be anytime before next Sept.

Also, insurance usually is charged the same whether there is one child or multiple children. If there are no other children and you don't have a pre-existing condition, it is usually less expensive to get independent insurance instead of going on your parents insurance. With new legislation in effect will I be able to go back on my parents health insurance? I was dropped at 22yo?Your PARENT can add you back on, during the next open enrollment period, and pay the premium for you, if they want to.

You can't do it, without your parent's cooperation and consent. With new legislation in effect will I be able to go back on my parents health insurance? I was dropped at 22yo?They can now add you if they choose at their next open enrollment. However, unless you have siblings, it won't be free so you might be better off buying your own coverage and keeping your current plan.
