Since when did legislation come from the White House? re: Obama and new Healthcare bill?

Article 1: Section 1

"All Legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives."

How can Obama pen a new Healthcare Bill? Is the practice of Presidents writing legislation new or has it been done before Obama?Since when did legislation come from the White House? re: Obama and new Healthcare bill?Obama didn't pen one. He actually was very hands-off, which is why there were dozens of versions in Congress, and why the Dems couldn't reach a consensus.

If he had penned one, it would probably be law by now.Since when did legislation come from the White House? re: Obama and new Healthcare bill?
Your barking is misdirected. Obama did not write any of the health care bills that were proposed. People in the Senate and House did. It is the conservatives that had been writing about Obamacare, blah, blah, blah.Since when did legislation come from the White House? re: Obama and new Healthcare bill?If they can get someone in Congress to introduce it, remember hillarycare, completely written behind closed doors, introduced to the Legislature by an accommodating progressive representative and soundly defeated.
the president can suggest a bill. doesn't mean it will pass. FDR did this alot in the thirties. everyone really just went along with it since they were bills to help people and the economy.Since when did legislation come from the White House? re: Obama and new Healthcare bill?He means that he will be involved in gist of the bill. It's common for Presidents to do this.

The bill would still have to go through all the channels.Since when did legislation come from the White House? re: Obama and new Healthcare bill?
Been done for centuries...all that needs to be done is for the President to find a friendly Representative to introduce the bill.
That happens a lot. Bill Clinton's "Hillarycare" reform attempt in the 90's was also from the whitehouse. The congress still has to pass it though.Since when did legislation come from the White House? re: Obama and new Healthcare bill?
By having members of congress write the bill for him. That is why President Obama has not written any bills.
Didn't you get the latest memo? Obummer didn't give up his status as a member of the Senate when he became "president." (Lower case with great intent. It's far more than he deserves!)
What ??? I thought the Supreme Court was supposed to do all that stuff...
If it did, then there would have been no problems in passing it. But the two bills that have passed have come from the Senate and Congress.

It surprises me that so many Americans seem not to be aware about Obama鈥檚 healthcare plans [a]. During the election, he campaigned for these changes stating that he felt it was unfair to have a system where insurance companies try to escape paying claims and was elected to bring in changes [b].

First of all, too many people do not know that Obama wants to make insurance more available to all. His system is similar to that which works in Holland, Taiwan [c] and Switzerland. It works there and private healthcare companies provide most the insurance to the people there.

FACT - the USA spends more on healthcare PER PERSON than any other nation on the planet [d].

FACT 鈥?insurance companies admit that they push up costs, buy politicians and do not pay out for many claims when they should [e].

FACT - the US has higher death rates for kids aged under five than western European countries with universal health coverage [f].

That means that a dead American four year old would have had a better chance of life if they were born in Canada, France, the Netherlands, Cuba, Switzerland, Germany, Japan etc, all of which have universal health coverage. And no western European nation with universal healthcare has moved away from it. And the sad thing is, that the insurance companies have spent loads of money to fight these reforms [g] and loads of politicians are taking the thirty pieces of silver from them to fight the reforms, rather than fight for the health of the American people.

Remember, I back my facts up with evidence. Those who say they are wrong tend not to. If they are wrong, e-mail me with proof and let me know.
