Why are the Democrats blaming Republicans for blocking legislation when they have majorities in both Houses?

Democrats have a huge majority in the House and a filibuster proof majority in the Senate and a Democrat in the White House. Because they don't want to admit that the Blue Dog Democrats don't like some of the power play that the far left Democrats are doing. It is funny that a party that doesn't have enough votes in either house of Congress can stop the Democrats from doing anything. Listening to NPR this morning it is sad when out of I think it is 254 Democrats in the House they can't find 218 votes on something. Yet it's the Republicans fault.Why are the Democrats blaming Republicans for blocking legislation when they have majorities in both Houses?They are blaming the Republicans ahead of time , Democrats know, that their lies will catch up with them eventually, they know their Legislation is nothing but PORK for their own benefit and need to start blaming Republicans now, to try and cover their butts , when their party falls in 2010 at pre term elections. Obama is still blaming everything on George Bush, even tho he is the one lying and failing at being President, them and their double standards, always blame some one else.
The Democrats have always spent our money then blamed the Republicans.



As long as they can exploit the "finger-Pointing" and not take responsibility for their OWN CHOICES and actions that are responsible for the problems we are facing they will continue to do so.

Not so much in the Senate. Ben Nelson and Evan Bayh and Mary Landrieu and Blanche Lincoln and Joe Lieberman are not reliable supporters of liberal causes.



Republicans tend to march in lockstep. Democrats, not so much.



What is the reason? Dems used to have their campaigns paid for largely by unions. Repubs have traditionally had theirs paid for by corporations and special interests. Repubs have been union busting since Reagan over-rode the Air Traffic Controller strikes. Manufacturing jobs have been shipped overseas. With the unions out of the way, that cleared the way for the same corporations and special interests that buy the Repubs to buy the Dems. The above Dems have all been bought off. Simple as that.



Who really loses? We the People. Productivity has risen. In the past that money was shared with the workers. When Democrats have been in office, they have driven the money downward to the middle class and poor. When Repubs are in office, they have driven the money upward to the top 5%, especially the top 1%. Well, the money's been going up pretty much since Reagan took office. The result is The People don't have money to spend so they borrowed. With the banks crashing, credit dried up.



So The People had no money to spend. That has caused businesses to go belly up and now we're in an economic depression. That caused the people to lose their jobs and those with jobs to hold onto their money for dear life. That caused more businesses to lay off and fold.



But the rich at the top made out like bandits as they bought more businesses.



If you want an economy, you have to leave enough money at the bottom to keep the economy going.



And if you want to have a party that sticks up for the middle class, you need unions.Why are the Democrats blaming Republicans for blocking legislation when they have majorities in both Houses?
They're nature is to point a finger and play on an expectation in the media to save face. When they're not doing that, they're immature, name call and do whatever they want without any responsibility and suddenly they are called brilliant.



I should be a liberal, it doesn't seem take much more skill than the average 2 year old.



Not that the conservatives are perfect either! But I am remaining to the subject at hand. Truth is if a member of the conservative side behaved this way they would be chastised to no end.
democrats are like spoiled children who never accept blame or responsibility. it is always someone else's fault.



at least some of the more sensible Dem's realize that this is bad for them and re-election and for our nation. they are resisting even though they are being subjected to a lot of arm twisting and threats by the liberals. i have to give them kudos for standing up for their convictions.



i think we need to realize that not all Dem's are liberal in all things and give credit where and when it is due.

It is a problem that has been ingrained in the democrat party since the Roosevelt administration.

None of them ever inhale unless someone else makes them do it. They have no conscience, so they depend on others to provide one.

It is a kind of a mental welfare. They wait for some one else to provide a consanguineous thought so they can feel good about themselves.
So true! They don't want to realize that Obama is trying to appease those in HIS OWN PARTY in the administration who probably regret ever having supported him in the first place. Now they have a boss who has no clue what he's suppose to be doing except what he's told to do. These are the ones, THE DEMOCRATS in his very own administration are the ones destroying all his plans. I as a republican can sit back and watch the whole mess!
its kind like a kid with a 30 gallon trash bag full of candy on halloween crying because he cant carry it all home and still wants more.while con do have a split party on some issues demos are split in major ways .there is the far left loons like grayson reid pelosi frank who are more special interest guided and very fear full of their jobs basically they will vote for whats good for them not america .many demos are ashamed of them.this is the group that hurts their party as they are extremist and nut jobs .
They are desperate and unwilling to accept their faults. That's how the Democrats have always been...paranoid little children. The Republicans are becoming that way, too, but they haven't been in the game as long as the Demons have.
Seems that Democrats always need to have a scapegoat handy, to blame for their failures

I've come to the conclusion that we are being led by a bunch of corporate whores looking out for their own interests. They could give a **** less about any of us, it all comes down to the power and wealth they can acquire.



Btw, most of the democrats I know are not blaming the republicans right now..
