What implications do you consider the introduction of this legislation has had on local authority departments?

The 2nd April 2007 saw the introduction of the ban on smoking in public places under the health act 2006 in wales. Please help me answer this question as im stumped!!!! The whole question is this........... What implications do you consider the introduction of this legislation has had on local authority environmental health departments and the publics health. Can someone please help me??What implications do you consider the introduction of this legislation has had on local authority departments?They had to hire more people to enforce the law. Also had to train them on how to defend themselves since a lot of people get very angry when told they can't smoke in certain places.
