Should such ads not also be FORCED to warn that the value given is below average and the item should be valued locally before posting? Some of these companies are foreign owned.Do you think legislation should be introduced regarding some TV advertising? Not at all. Seriously, if these people can't make the effort to walk into a jewelry store and get their items appraised before they pawn them, why should the government do it for them?Do you think legislation should be introduced regarding some TV advertising?no but these businesses are creating the gold bubble that will pop, this is why gold should be avoided when investing in it now, because there are some really big players in it, like China and India, whats going to happen when they cash it in and sell the gold, the value of Gold will drop like a rock, anyway what the businesses are doing is paying market price for the valuables and all jewelry is overpriced to begin with when you 1st buy itDo you think legislation should be introduced regarding some TV advertising?Have you ever heard of the phrase, "Buyer beware?"
No one is forcing these people to turn in anything.Do you think legislation should be introduced regarding some TV advertising?
No.
It's a free market. If a company is offering a certain price, be it below the market value, they have the right to offer that price. If someone wants to sell them their gold without doing research or shopping around, that's their problem.
