in the US particularly. especially on the issue about terrorism. Is there any legislation about what informations the media is only allowed to release to the public? There are numerous security laws that apply to information %26amp; intelligence in the possession of the US government. The US %26amp; many states also have legislation regarding release of private information in government records. The various statutes are scattered throughout the federal %26amp; state legal codes. Is there any legislation about what informations the media is only allowed to release to the public? What?
Rephrase the question! Is there any legislation about what informations the media is only allowed to release to the public?the media is supposed to be allowed to say what ever they want. There isnt supposed to be any kind of restrictions on what is reported by the media. Is there any legislation about what informations the media is only allowed to release to the public?
The Constitution in the first amendment gives freedom of the press. No legislation can be passed that disagrees with the Constitution (supreme court would strike it down). Look at the NY Times and all the leaks it publishes.
