Would you agree with doing away with filibusters and allowing a citizen vote on divided legislation?

The Republicans no doubt abuse filibustering and claim they only vote in the interest of their voters, yet they almost always side with major corporations.Would you agree with doing away with filibusters and allowing a citizen vote on divided legislation? That's a good idea. If a measure is filibustered for a certain amount of time, it will be put on the national ballot for the coming November.Would you agree with doing away with filibusters and allowing a citizen vote on divided legislation?
Both parties have used filibusters and abused them. And im not a republican or a republican supporter. But you are delusional if you think its only the republicans that support major corporations. Politicians in both parties recieve hundreds of millions of dollars a year from corporations and their lobbyists. The thing about corporations and big banks is that they have enough money to buy out both parties so no matter who wins an election, they never lose.

Democrats actually receive nearly as much money as republicans from oil companies.Would you agree with doing away with filibusters and allowing a citizen vote on divided legislation?A filibuster is actually kind of rare. What is going on now is not filibusters but simply a coordinated agreement to vote "NO". Its totally legal if a tad unethical in the sense that a Congressman's job is to actually consider each piece of legislation on its own merits and vote as they believe their constituents (The people who elected them) would prefer or for what is in the best interest of their constituents.

They are NOT supposed to act as a partisan block and simply over power the other party by rejecting everything. The purpose of the party is simply to bring like minded people together and provide a forum so that candidates can reach their people. It is not to control government which is supposed to be in the peoples control and not any single group.

A filibuster is a specific tactic to delay or stall a vote. All that happens is one or more congressmen talk and refuse to stop talking. The vote may not commence until those who have a right to speak have said their piece and if one or more congressman can keep talking long enough they may delay a vote. Sometimes there is a limit of time for voting and if they delay long enough they may force the discussion to start over. Like I said it is rarely done and speaking continuously for hours is difficult work. When a filibuster happens it usually makes news. Not often we see those guys actually expending effort after all.Would you agree with doing away with filibusters and allowing a citizen vote on divided legislation?
They should be made to filibuster unlike now when just declaring filibuster is all that's needed. No on citizen vote idea, a waste of time and resources. The worst abuse of the filibuster by GOP has been in judicial nominees causing a critical shortage of federal judges.Would you agree with doing away with filibusters and allowing a citizen vote on divided legislation? If "most citizens support health care reform," why did Democrats lose 65 seats in Congress?

Well, it makes no sense arguing with you, you'll remain a brainwashed 0bamabot even if God himself tells you that you are wrong.Would you agree with doing away with filibusters and allowing a citizen vote on divided legislation?
